Fundamentals Of International Business Development (FIBD)

Doing business internationally can be a very rewarding project for any business. It can be the core of your business or an auxiliary branch. For successful domestic businesses, diversifying market risk and revenue streams can provide long term stability as well as short term growth. The risk to reward dynamic is also insulated somewhat by international policy changes, but simply put, hedging the risk results in a very strong company awareness that more acutely aligns the company with our ever shrinking world economy and its day to day and long term effects.  I personally recommend that any company that is beginning to shape a three to five year plan strongly consider building an internationally based revenue stream. The world and local economies are changing too fast to not consider.

In this FIBD series of articles, my intention is to divulge some of the very helpful lessons learned in my career of international business.  For my clients, this is a great introduction to the methodology and force of my consulting practice.
